Welcome Mark E. Moran, M.D., Our New Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mark E. Moran, M.D.

We are pleased to announce Mark E. Moran, M.D., has joined the South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine team and is now seeing patients primarily at our Tradition office location.

Dr. Moran is a fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeon skilled in the most advanced surgical techniques. He has been treating children for almost 30 years and has a lifetime of experience in diagnosing and treating deformities of the spine.

Dr. Moran is highly specialized in all types of pediatric orthopaedic care issues, including:

  • Hip dysplasia
  • Scoliosis (surgical and non- surgical care) congenital deformities
  • Club foot
  • Bowing of the legs

He is also happy to provide pediatric fracture care, treatments of sprains and strains, and treatment of tendon and cartilage injuries.

Dr. Moran earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery Residency. Dr. Moran completed Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis Surgery at the University of California, San Diego Children’s Hospital. He has also collaborated in research with Dr. Robert Salter, a pioneer in pediatric orthopaedic surgery.

Prior to joining our group, Dr. Moran practiced in Chicago for twenty years, where he served terms as head of the division of Orthopaedic Surgery and as Chief of Surgery. In addition, Dr. Moran dedicated countless hours to the Chicago Shriners and Illinois Elks pediatric clinics. In 2014, Dr. Moran relocated to South Florida in response to the growing need for Pediatric Orthopaedic Specialists in our area. He is currently a faculty member at Nova Southeastern Osteopathic and Allopathic Medical School.
