Steven K. Jordan, MD, is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Partner at South Florida Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dedicated to providing exceptional musculoskeletal care, Dr. Jordan combines advanced surgical expertise with personalized treatment plans, as well as extensive experience in orthopaedics to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to their active lifestyles.
Dr. Jordan earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He subsequently completed his orthopedic surgery training at Georgia Baptist Medical Center (now Atlanta Medical Center) in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, he has built a reputation for delivering comprehensive orthopedic care using the latest techniques and technologies.
Dr. Jordan has a special interest in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, including knee and hip replacement procedures that utilize innovative technology to enhance precision, improve outcomes, and support faster recovery. He has developed a remarkable opioid-sparing pain management program that helps patients comfortably recuperate from surgery and fractures much more easily without all the horrific side effects of narcotic pain medications.
In addition to joint replacement surgery, Dr. Jordan has advanced training in both operative and non-operative management of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. His expertise includes the treatment of fractures, sprains and strains, arthritis, athletic injuries, nerve compression, tendonitis, bursitis, rotator cuff tears, labral injuries, knee ligament tears, and meniscal tears.
Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Jordan works closely with each individual to develop customized treatment strategies tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals that emphasize education, prevention, and long-term function. Whether treating a sports injury, executing fracture care, managing chronic joint pain, or performing joint replacement surgery, his goal is to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes and return to the activities they enjoy most.
Dr. Jordan currently serves on the Medical Executive Committee, as well as Chairman of the Peer Review Committee and member of the Credentials Committee for Florida Coast Medical Center, the Treasure Coast’s newest hospital, with the goal of developing it into a Center of Excellence. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as a member of Southern Orthopedic Association and Florida Orthopedic Society.
