About Dr. Benedict

Dr. Benedict earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio, where he also completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency training. His fellowship training was completed at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Benedict has extensive training in all aspects of pain management, including interventional techniques, non-interventional medication management, as well as physical activity modification to improve the quality of life for patients.

Dr. Benedict performs many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for pain located throughout the entire body. This includes various options for neck and back pain such as radiofrequency ablation, epidural injection, nerve blocks, sacroiliac joint procedures, trigger point injection, and spinal cord stimulation. He offers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for pain located in all four limbs including nerve, joint and soft tissue injections and ablations with spinal cord stimulation options for persistent limb pain. He performs various nerve blocks for chronic abdominal pain as well as offers many nerve blocks and ablations for multiple types of chronic headaches with botox reserved for chronic migraines.

Dr. Benedict understands how debilitating chronic pain can be and will educate the patient and family about pain and its various treatment options including physical modification, medications, and interventions. A patient’s treatment plan is recommended based on the individual’s pain experience, cause, and extent of pain. Dr. Benedict joined South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine as Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. He is a member of the Spine Interventional Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
