Introducing Dry Needling at South Florida Orthopaedics: Feel Better Faster
South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is proud to announce that we are now offering Dry Needling as part of our comprehensive physical therapy services for current patients.
If you’re dealing with muscle pain, tightness, or limited mobility, this advanced treatment option may help you recover faster and get back to doing what you love.
What Is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is a specialized, evidence-based technique used by trained physical therapists to treat musculoskeletal pain and movement dysfunction.
Using ultrafine, sterile needles, dry needling targets myofascial trigger points—tight bands within muscles that can cause pain and restrict movement. By releasing these trigger points, the therapy helps restore normal muscle function.
This treatment is designed to:
- Reduce muscle tension
- Improve range of motion
- Decrease both local and referred pain
- Increase blood flow
Who Can Benefit from Dry Needling?
Dry needling can be an effective addition to your treatment plan if you are experiencing a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendinitis
- Knee pain and patellar tendinitis
- Hip pain and bursitis
- IT band syndrome
- Neck pain and headaches
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Back pain and lumbar radiculopathy
This therapy is particularly beneficial for patients who haven’t found complete relief through traditional physical therapy alone.
