Dry Needling FAQs

An integrated approach to treat a multitude of musculoskeletal issues. Dry needling focuses on treating certain pain and movement issues associated with myofascial trigger points. This technique uses ultrafine, sterile needles to release muscle tension, ease pain, and improve overall function.

Our dry needling therapists will administer the treatment. They are fully certified to Florida state standards — you're in qualified hands. Each PT has completed a minimum of 2 years of licensed practice, 50 hours of specialized training, and 25 supervised patient sessions.

Dry Needling is NOT covered by insurance. Out-of-pocket cost applies in addition to any PT services (copay, coinsurance, deductible, etc.)

If combined with Physical Therapy:

  • First session is included with PT services
    - $50 for 1 region
    - $75 for 2 or more regions
  • If Dry Needling ONLY (no other PT services):
    - Initial Evaluation required for a PT patient (required)
    - NO outside orders accepted — must be referred by an SFO provider
    - $120 for initial Evaluation
    - $50 for 1 region
    - $75 for 2 or more regions
