About Dr. Connelly
Jacob Connelly, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Sports Medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Connelly earned his medical degree from the University of Florida, in Gainesville. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Connelly received additional specialty training with internationally recognized leaders in the field of arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery as a fellow at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Connelly treats patients throughout all aspects of general orthopaedic medicine, with particular interest in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, complex knee and shoulder disorders, ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and joint replacement surgery. From recreational to elite athletes, Dr. Connelly’s training in sports medicine provides a comprehensive ability to optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. Connelly is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and Southern Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Connelly has presented nationally and is published in several peer reviewed medical journals.
