FAQs

There are three distinct advantages to coming to the Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic over an urgent care center or emergency room:

  • Save time. A typical visit to the Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic provides prompt access to an orthopaedic specialist. In fact, patients are often treated in less time than a visit to an urgent care center or emergency room. Plus, there is a decreased risk of infection and if casting is required, we can take care of it during your visit.
  • Save money. The co-payment at Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic is the same as a specialty physician office visit, which is less expensive when compared to a trip to the hospital emergency room.
  • See an orthopaedic specialist immediately. When you visit the Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic, you will be seen by an orthopaedic specialist in a state-of-the-art orthopaedic-specific facility. If you visit an urgent care center or E.R., you may be seen by another specialist or provider with a different area of expertise, before being referred to an orthopaedic specialist. If follow-up care is required after your visit with us, you will be scheduled before you leave to make the next step of your treatment as easy and seamless as possible.

The Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic is meant to treat adults and children with new and acute injuries ONLY. We understand injuries may not always happen during business hours, and the Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic is here to help treat acute (new) injuries. If you are experiencing chronic pain or are an established patient, we ask that you make a same day/next day appointment.

Common reasons to visit the Ortho Injury Walk-in Clinic include:

  • Acute pain
  • Acute back or neck pain
  • Acute painful and / or swollen joints
  • Broken bones/closed fractures
  • Lacerations
  • Sports injuries
  • Sprains/strains
